Wild West on Rails

Wild West on Rails is a first-person rail shooter inspired by classic arcade galleries and spaghetti westerns. Built in Unity as part of a sound-focused game development class, the project emphasizes immersive audiovisual feedback. Players are taken through a linear series of dynamic shootouts, using mouse-click precision to eliminate bandits and survive each stage.

I designed and programmed the entire gameplay experience, including enemy spawning, score tracking, and camera transitions. The game’s soundscape was also implemented by me using Unity's audio mixer—every shot, ricochet, and explosion is balanced to support responsive, game-feel–driven design. While originally intended as a sound design demo, Wild West on Rails evolved into a full, self-contained arcade-style shooter with its own visual flair and mechanical pacing.
